How to use a Manual Proxy

First of all, you might want to know what a manual proxy is.
Well, using a manual proxy consists basically, in changing your computer's IP adress (the number which identifies your computer and says where is it from) to access to some page web's features that aren't available worldwide.
For example, on Stardoll we can see that most of the campaigns are only available in the UK or U.S.A. and we haven't got access to them because when we try to go to them, Stardoll recognises our IP and with the IP, our country.

Now you know what a manual proxy is.
So, let's start with the manual proxy settings.
The settings are different for Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Safari.

For Mozilla Firefox:

For Internet Explorer:

For Google Chrome:

1. Click on the 'Customize and control Google Chrome' icon. (Under the 'Window Close' button)
2. Click on 'Options'
3. Click on 'Under The Hood'
4. Under 'Network Settings', click on 'Change Proxy Settings'
5. Select the 'Connections' tab
6. Click on 'LAN Settings'
7. Choose 'Use a Proxy Server'
8. Click on 'Advanced'
9. Put the adress and port
10. Click on OK

When you have done this, you can surf the Internet and see all the features in the webs! (:
